Shirley. Put it best she is an insecure moth she's hated by the audience if she's not played right and that is represented by after someone in our class reads a text a blance she come off as a trickster and someone who wants to sleep with men's too fast and easily

I agree with Glen Close who played Blanche because most readers only see the side of Blanche that is conniving and deceptive. We as an audience fail to understand how Blanche may feel being mistreated by Stanley very badly.Blanche just in reality wants what is best for her sister and to ensure she's safe, but we we fail to see it from that perspective. That's why I agree with Glenn Close.

I believed that shirley version of the character blanche was played best. She showed blanche's more of the hatred that the audience is supposed to feel about blanche instead of feeling the remorseful side that blanche is supposed to portray herself as

I believe that Jessica Tandy played Blanche better. Blanche is considered the most important person in Street Car and Jessica portrayed well in 1940’s. Especially almost being overshadowed by her coworker who played Stanley.

I would have to say Shirley Knight played the best Blanche. I say Shirley because she understands Blanche enough to develop her as a character. Shirley states Blanche was "searching for safety" which is why Blanche acted the way she did towards men.

In my opinion I think Shirley Knight player the role well as Blanche. Shirley has the emotion , seems like she understands the character feelings towards the conflict and obstacles.
